Sapareva Banya is the administrative center of the municipality. It has been a favourite getaway location for Bulgarians for decades and is now being discovered by international tourist. The town offers many great restaurants and an array of hotel options. Many tourists spend a day or two in Sapareva Banya before heading up the mountain to enjoy the National Park and Panichishte. The geyser, the Byzantine church of St. Nikola and the mineral baths remain its greatest attractions.
